The history of the manor Redewisch

In 1817, the manor was bought and lived in by an ancestor of today's owner. In 1945 it was expropriated by the russians and used as a refugee camp. Later on, a large construction company based in Erfurt used the manor as a vacation resort for families of their workers.
The manor was left empty from 1989 to 1999, when it was purchased back by the current owner's family and completely renovated. The manor was declared a historical site and in April of 2001 opened as a hotel and restaurant.
